December 2025 Newsletter

Dear All,

I am writing this following a most successful anniversary lunch at The Oriental Club yesterday. We had 88 members and guests celebrating with Borja Jiménez our guest of honour. There will of course be a write up in La Divisa but in the meantime you can read the Mundotoro article here.

Next year’s anniversary London lunch will be on Sunday 29 November 2026 again at The Oriental Club.

Competition Results

A big thank you to all of you who voted in this year’s competition. Somewhat unsurprisingly most of you voted for the Matador Morante de la Puebla. The Novillero Aarón Palacio received the most votes in his category and the Ganaderia Victoriano del Rio made it to the top this year. Special mention to our own novillero Alex Paul who following his successful debut attracted a number of votes, we will watch his development with great interest.

December meeting

Our final online get-together for the year will take place via Zoom on Thursday 11th December at 7.30pm GMT. Full details to follow separately.

Message from Jeremy Bouckley

l have about 60-70  6 Toros 6 magazines from the late 90's to early 2000's and about 20 La Divisas about 10 years old that l would like members to have free of charge, but they would have to collect them from the Midlands. l can be contacted by email - jeremybouckley@gmail.com.

Member’s death

Sad to report that Dena Horton informed us that her father Roger Wicks sadly passed away on the 16^th  November.

Subscriptions 2026

All subscriptions are due for renewal 1st January 2026. We will be sending a separate email reminder in a few days.
