Dear members
It was fantastic to see so many members in Madrid last Friday for our annual San Isidro lunch. I hope everyone who made it to Madrid found something to enjoy in the afternoon corridas and made it back safely at the end of their visit. June meeting
The June CTL meeting will be held on Thursday 9 June at 7.30pm, via Zoom.
This month we will be joined by Fabiola Flores, who is a CTL member originally from Mexico but now living in Canada.
Fabiola will speak about toros and literature, a subject she is well qualified to speak about as she regularly contributes to various blogs such as De Sol Y Sombra and her own blog, Un Mar De Alamares. One of her short stories, A Calling Card, was published in the January/February edition of La Divisa this year.
Fabiola spends a significant part of each temporada in Spain and is very well connected; a couple of years ago she received the singular honour of having two bulls dedicated to her in a single season, one by Diego Urdiales in Bilbao and the other by Maxime Solera.
If you wish to join this fascinating meeting please let me know by the close of play on Tuesday 7 June and will send log in details the following morning.
3 Puyazos
Some members of the club are also founder members of the newly established Club 3 Puyazos, which will hold its inaugural novillada and corrida on Saturday 11 June in San Agustín de Gaudalix, near Madrid. A copy of the cartel

In addition to the corrida and novillada, there will be a series of taurine events/discussions on the Friday and the bulls will be on display at the Venta del Batan on the 3 days preceding the corrida ( Note from Webmaster -You can find links to tickets and 3 puyazos further info in another recent post under News section)
Frank Evans
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Frank’s alternativa and he hopes to mark the event by appearing in one or two corridas. I will publicise details when they are known, but Frank will be pleased to offer free tickets to any club members who wish to attend.
